to buy or not to buy...

Olen aivan ihastunut tähän H&M:n nudenväriseen, upeaan maksimekkoon. Avoin selkä ja kyljet tekevät mekosta todella näyttävän, pitkän helman tasapainottaessa kuitenkin kokonaisuutta. Sovittaessani mekkoa liikkeessä huomasin harmikseni että se on päällä hieman huonosti peittävä; bra-teippiä kuluisikin yhtä käyttökertaa kohden varmaan useampi metri! Etsinnöissäni on kaunis pitkä mekko tulevan syksyn gaalailtaan, mutta tämä yksilö tuntuu ehkä hieman liian riskialttiilta tanssilattialla... Hmmm!

I have totally fallen for this gorgeous, nude H&M maxi dress. Its open back and sides make such a statement whilst the long hem keeps things in proportion. As I tried the dress on, I unfortunately noticed that it would require miles of sticky tape and I'd even still probably be unsure with it. I'm currently looking for a gala evening dress for the fall but must admit that I'd be afraid of taking this beauty all the way to the dancefloor... Hmmm!

Viime aikoina illanviettoihin valmistautuessani olen kohdannut jatkuvasti saman ongelman: ei mitään päällepantavaa. Vanhat mekkoni ovat pikkuhiljaa päätyneet kirpputorille, kavereille tai vain yksinkertaisesti kadonneet. Nykyään en omista edes kunnollista pikkumustaa, jota voisi asustamalla muokata aina tilanteeseen sopivaksi. Sama on näköjään käynyt myös clutchien kanssa; valikoimastani ei löydy ainuttakaan neutraalin sävyistä iltarientoihin sopivaa pikkulaukkua.

Nellyn tarjouskampanja osuikin juuri sopivaan saumaan - valitut mustat mekot ja korot ovat huomiseen saakka jopa -40% alennuksessa. Valikoimassa on lähinnä juurikin klassisen yksinkertaisia, monikäyttöisiä malleja.

Recently I've constantly noticed that when getting ready to go out, I have nothing to wear. Yupp, not even any basic party staples. My old dresses have disappeared and I no more even have a decent LBD! The same has happened with clutches as I don't have a neutral one to just grab with me. Getting ready for a party hasn't exactly been a pleasure lately.

The Nelly.com campaign arrived just on time! Until tuesday, they are selling some of their nicest black dresses and heels on a whopping -40%. The pieces are classic yet versatile, just the solution to my problem actually.

Korkokenkätilanteeni on onneksi hieman parempi. Ostimpa jopa juuri täydelliset, tukevat mutta korkeat mustat aitonahkaiset korot. Kengät, joilla jaksaa platformin ja paksun koron ansiosta kävellä juhlista kotiinkin saakka - näistä ehdottomasti lisää myöhemmin! Kenkähyllystäni kuitenkin ehdottomasti puuttuvat edelleen sirot, kauniisti muotoillut korot. Kuvan yksilöt houkuttelevatkin kovasti, pitäisiköhän antaa niille mahdollisuus...?

At least I'm better with my high heels. I have several pairs and recently even found the perfect, high but sturdy black leather ones. With their platform and chunky heel they are comfortable enough to actually even walk the way home after a night out. What I still am craving for, however, are the dainty, classy heels. The ones in the picture seem quite cool - should I give them a try?

statement fever

Muotivalikoimissa on tällä hetkellä valtava määrä statement-kaulakoruja. Olen ihastunut trendiin palavasti ja yhdistän statementin mielelläni sekä arkeen että juhlaan. Vaikka omistankin jo muutaman katseenkääntäjän, haluan kasvattaa kokoelmaani vielä monella yksilöllä. Tässä siis tämänhetkisen himotuslistan TOP 4!

There are currently so many statement necklaces offered for the fashionistas. I love the trend and like to wear my statements both everyday and during special occasions. Although I already own a couple of gorgeous eye catchers, I still do crave for many more. So here we go, my current statement wanties TOP 4!

Numero neljä on ehdoton lempparini. Second Femalen koru toisi näyttävyydellään sitä jotain yksinkertaisiin arkiasuihini. Korun hinta taas ei niinkään houkuttele... Toisaalta kotiuttaisin ilomielin vaikka kaikki neljä kaunotarta - näen jo mielessäni jokaiseen sopivan, täysin erilaisen asun :)

My absolute favorite is necklace number 4. The Second Female piece would bring some attitude to my simple everyday outfits. On the other hand it's price doesn't make me too happy... But as I think about it, I could easily take them all and already have a completely different outfit planned in my mind for each of these beautiful statements.

classy steal: silk top by H&M

Innostun aina löytäessäni hieman laadukkaampaa materiaalia olevia vaatteita ja asusteita edullisesti. Viimeisin innostukseni kohde on tämä H&M:n nettikaupan uutuuksiin saapunut silkkitoppi. Toppia myydään valkoisena ja mustana, ja se on oikea vaatekaapin peruspilari. Neutraali toppi on helppo yhdistää moniin vaatteisiin ja se tuo materiaalillaan tyylikkyyttä asuun kuin asuun.

I always get excited when I find quality clothing or accessories for an affordable price. My latest discovery is this silk top found from H&M's online store. This wardrobe essential is sold in white and black. The top is easy to combine with various clothing styles and will definitely bring some elegance to any outfit.

Miten sitten yhdistäisin silkkitopin kesään? Malliltaan yksinkertainen toppi on materiaalinsa ansiosta jo itsessään näyttävä, joten pitäisin asun yksinkertaisen kauniina tähän tapaan:So how would I wear the top during the summer? Because of its silky material, the simple top looks quite fancy already on its own - therefore I would keep the rest of the outfit beautifully simple as shown below:

Täytyykin suunnata liikkeeseen toivoen että toppia löytyisi jo. Tilaan vaatteita kyllä mielellään netistä, mutta mielestäni silkkitopit ja -paidat näyttävät kauniimmalta koon tai pari liian isona. Toivottavasti pääsen siis pian sovittamaan tätä klassista kaunotarta ;)

I have to visit a H&M store soon and hope that they already carry this top on their selection. I enjoy ordering my clothing online, but personally find silk tops and blouses more beautiful when worn as a size or two "too big". Therefore I hope that I can try this beauty on as soon as possible ;)

Jonkin aikaa sitten Topshopin sivuja selaillessani löysin tämän pirteän pinkin bleiserin. Enkä sen jälkeen ole saanut upeutta mielestäni! Bleiseri sopisi niin rentojen kuin juhlavienkin asujen pariksi. Sen mielenkiintoiset leikkaukset ja shokkipinkki väri tekevät bleiseristä jo itsessään varsinaisen statement-asusteen. Näen jo silmissäni tämän kaunokaisen yhdistettynä rentoon business-tyyliin ja täydelliseen rusketukseen... ;)

I am totally loving this blazer by Topshop. Found it a while ago and now just can't get it out of my head! The blazer is such an IT piece and could either be dressed up or down. The interesting cuts on the lapels and the fluro pink color surely make the blazer a statement piece already on its own. Paired up with a casual business style and the perfect tan, what else could you even ask for?

ASOS wanties: relaxed edition

Tällä hetkellä löydän itseni jatkuvasti ihailemasta rentoja vaatteita - toki yhdistettynä siistimpiin yksilöihin. Asoksen ostoskoriin päätyivät loputtoman selailun jälkeen seuraavat neljä tuotetta. Palkkapäiväkin koittaa pian...

Nowadays I'm constantly craving for some relaxed clothing, paired up with more classy pieces of course. After browsing and browsing through the ASOS website, I settled down with these four pieces. They're now awaiting in my shopping bag - pay day is on its way...

1. Maksimekko lyhyillä hihoilla - täydellistä! Omani asustaisin ehdottomasti kapealla vyöllä tuodakseni mekon muotoon lisää naisellisuutta. Sirot sandaalit ja isot korut viimeistelisivät asun.
2. Pehmeät, rennot housut lähentelevät mukavuudeltaan maksihameita. Housut voivat kuitenkin oikein yhdisteltynä olla myös todella tyylikkäät. Silkkitoppi ja sirot korot täydentäisivät huolettoman siistin lookin.
3. Rento leopanta sopisi kesäisiin nuttura- ja lettikampauksiin. Se pelastaisi pörröiset rantahiukset ja säädettävän mallinsa ansiosta myös tarvittaessa suojaisi päätä auringonpaisteessa.
4. Valkoisilta Converseilta ei voi tällä hetkellä välttyä katukuvassa. Rennot kengät sopivat moneen tyyliin ja valkoiset yksilöt ovat todelliset kesäsuosikit. Dainty-malliset Converset ovat hieman naisellisemmat ja niissä on ohuempi pohja kuin tavallisissa Consseissa. Dainty on välimalli normaalista ja light-Conversesta, joista jälkimmäisen valmistus valitettavasti lopetettiin :( Onneksi ehdin napata muutaman parin light-versiota kun niitä vielä myytiin!

1. A maxi dress with short sleeves? Yes please! I would definitely pair mine up with a slim belt to add some femininity to the boxy shape of the dress. Strappy sandals and big jewelry would perfect the outfit.
2. Soft, relaxed trousers can be almost as comfy as maxi dresses. With the right accessories they can be pretty stylish, too. I would pair mine up with a silky top and dainty heels.
3. The oh-so-boho leo-printed hair band would perfect the summery topknots and braid hairstyles. The hair band could save a messy beach hair and since it's self-tied, protect from the sun rays, too.
4. You can't avoid seeing white Converse's on the streets right now. They fit in to many styles and the white sneaker seems to be the ultimate summer shoe. The Dainty model is more feminine and has a slightly slimmer sole than the original shoe. It is a model between the original and the slim Converse. Sadly the production of Converse slim has been discontinued - I was lucky enough to catch a couple of pairs before they went off the market, though.

friday wish outfit

Päivän toiveasu koostuu tyttömäisen vaaleiden sävyjen ja mustan yhdistelmästä, ryhtiä tuovista tolppakoroista sekä kultaisista yksityiskohdista. Täydellinen asu perjantain drinkeille terassilla!

Today's wish outfit consist of girly shades of nude mixed with black, chunky heels and golden details. Perfect outfit for friday drinks out in the sunny city!
